Phenotypic characterization and production systems of indigenous chickens in urban, peri urban and rural area of the west Harerghe zone, Ethiopia

The study was conducted to characterize the indigenous chicken ecotypes and identify production system of owners across different locations. three districts West Hararghe zone Oromia region, Gamachis, Tullo Ciro district were purposely selected represent high-altitude, mid-altitude low-altitude agro-ecologies, respectively.
